Buying Haier HLT71 7-Inch Handheld LCD TV

Haier HLT71 7-Inch Portable LCD TV My old analog Casio TV no longer worked with the new digital conversion. I was looking for a small digital TV to keep me company while working in my workroom where I make handmade jewelry. I read all the reviews here on Amazon before I made my purchase. The antenna that comes with the TV is basically useless. As others recommended, I bought a $10. antenna made by RCA and the TV now works quite well as I am near a window. I live in Los Angeles and not every channel is available no matter what I do, but it still suits my purpose. The picture is sharp and clear. The sound is not that strong but works fine with an earphone. It is larger and clearer than my old Casio. The antenna does have to be adjusted now and then depending on the channel. It is a good product for the price of just over $100 and suits my purpose. I took out the battery and keep it plugged into the wall. I didn't buy it to use as a portable, or for the car or for emergencies, just to use as a little companion for my desk and it's great for that. I don't know if the remote works from more than 2 feet away, but that's fine with me. Even though it has a fold-down stand on the back, I opted to screw it onto a small desktop camera tripod I had to bring it up to eyelevel as I sit and work. It's great that it has that small screwhole at the bottom for just such purpose. Overall, good as a small companion TV for kitchen or workroom. Don't know if it can actually be counted on during emergencies in power outages. Basically, I am pleased with my purchase, I have it about 3 weeks now and no problems so far.Get more detail about Haier HLT71 7-Inch Handheld LCD TV.
