I wanted this TV to work! It looked great, and I was really excited to get it for my wife.
The design is fantastic. The case is that rubberized plastic, so it feels substantial and well-built. The remote control is small, but controls all the functions of a larger TV.
Unfortunately, the tuner and antennae didn't pick up a single channel in my home TV market of Myrtle Beach. It was able to find some channels on the Auto Search feature, but when I went to those stations it would just give me a message that it was unable to tune them in.
I also plugged the unit into my home cable. It worked just fine doing that, but that also defeats the purpose of it being a portable TV!
I think in a larger TV market, where signals are stronger, this might work just fine as others have said. However, if you are in a smaller market, you may want to go in another direction. Get more detail about Haier HLT71 7-Inch Handheld LCD TV.
