I bought this TV, based on other reviews that I read here, to use when our power goes out (which happens pretty regularly). Therefore it won't be hooked up to cable, just used with the battery and it's antenna. As it stands now, I can only get one channel instead of the 6 I should be able to get. I received a Terk amplified indoor antenna for Christmas, but haven't had time to try it yet. I'm hoping it will do the job, but if it doesn't, I'll have to return the TV. The TV itself is very nice looking, and the one channel I get has amazing color and clarity.
I have a very old portable TV that works just fine on batteries and it's rabbit ear antenna, so I was expecting this TV to work equally as well. As of Feb., the old one won't work any more...the reason I bought the new TV. I'll try thr new antenna soon and write another review if I have success.
