Well, I tried this one out - twice. The first one we bought worked just fine out of the box, but after a couple of weeks, it "forgot" all of the scanned channels. After that, each time you turned it on, you'd get the "no database" message on a blue screen. So you'd have to punch several menu keys just to get any channels back into the channel memory. THEN you could actually watch TV. I sent the first one back and got another to replace it. Same problem, except this one failed to remember channels right out of the box. Back it went. Then I got the Coby TFTV1022 - it has a bigger screen and costs less. Guess what? Even though it has the exact same menu, the Coby remembers all the channels. It can even be used as a computer monitor, if you like. It does not have quite as sharp a picture as the Haier, nor any battery to use it as a portable. It is definitely larger, and not quite a "cool" looking. But it does the job, and even has a bit more reception sensitivity. So overall, I am quite happy with the Coby. Too bad the Haier can't remember channels, because other than that, it would be a terrific TV - definitely worth the extra money over the Coby. But who can stand to reprogram their TV every time they turn it on???Get more detail about Haier HLT71 7-Inch Handheld LCD TV.
