I purchased this TV and was VERY impressed with the quality of the picture after connecting it to my external antenna. However, every time the unit was turned off and back on, it forces you to re-scan for channels. It does not save them. I contacted Haier's support and was told that behavior is by design. It makes it VERY inconvenient to use this for more than an emergency TV. It was planned to be used in a kitchen where we could just turn it on and catch the news in the morning. Instead, you have to turn it on, select auto-scan, wait for the scan to complete, then you can change the channel to the one you want to watch.
This behavior doesn't make sense, especially since (1) it doesn't automatically auto-scan when you turn it on, (2) they give you the ability to add/remove channels/set favorite channels (which are lost the minute you turn off the power).
Even though the picture is great, I can't recommend this product due to it's poor design.Get more detail about Haier HLT71 7-Inch Handheld LCD TV.
