This receiver does everything it claims. Very satisfied and highly recommended. On my good outdoor antenna, this receiver actually is more sensitive than my big model. Once batteries are fully charged, a channel scan will find all available stations and store it in the database. For best results, I suggest connecting it to a good outdoor antenna. Once a station is stored in the database, it will automatically seek it even on a weaker signal from the internal antenna. If you don't have a good outdoor antenna, but want better reception than internal antenna can provide, pair this receiver up with a Philips PHDTV1 amplified indoor antenna. Only drawback to whole setup is that some controls/adjustments are on the remote only. But this is a minor point. Overall 10 out of 10.
