I bought this to be my desk TV and to ready for the shift to digital broadcasting as it is an ATSC and Analog receiver. I'm still a bit confused as to how to program it, but I get a brilliant picture in both modes, and the sound isn't tinny at all. Not all network channels come in yet, but in this area (Denver), some broadcasters are still OTA and some have made the switch to digital. When the deadline occurs, OTA broadcasting ceases and the digital signals are boosted, it should be easier to program and I hope to get crystal clarity on all channels...I'll let you know.
The best part! It comes with a built-in battery pack. As long as I leave the initial power switch in the "On" position, the battery continues to charge (When I want to watch TV, I power-it-up using the remote). If there is a power outage, I will have two hours of TV power in reserve - a practical feature for areas that suffer brown-outs or weather/earthquake emergencies for needed news reports.
It also came with a car adapter for watching while waiting in the parking lot at Bellagio for my Phoenix boyfriend who is two-hours late driving into Vegas (I got there on time, why couldn't he?) Or - for camping, as well.Get more detail about Haier HLT71 7-Inch Handheld LCD TV.
