I've been using the Haier HLT71 TV now for about 3 weeks and am very pleased with it. I needed a small TV for my home office desktop and this works perfectly. Understand that I have not used it as a portable (it's hooked up to my cable service), and probably won't, so I have no comments regarding the antenna, battery, or portable operation.
Construction quality is excellent. I like the rugged black case. It feels like hard rubber that would survive a real beating. The screen is very bright and is non-glare. Colors are vivid and picture is sharp.
Sound is about what you would expect on a very small TV -- not full range, a little tinny, and no options for adjusting treble and bass.
The remote control device works very well and does everything you would expect it to do. Don't expect much help from the brief user's manual but everything is easy to figure out.
It has a very workable fold-out stand and also a standard tripod mount on the bottom. That's never mentioned in the specs but it could come in handy if I wanted to mount it a little higher on a small camera tripod.
In summary, I rate it a "5" because I can't find anything of substance to complain about. It's a great little TV and well worth the money spent.Get more detail about Haier HLT71 7-Inch Handheld LCD TV.
