I bought this TV as a replacement for a small analog RCA portable TV that I have used for years while camping, as a kitchen TV and for emergencies.
The new TV works fine when connected to my Terk amplified bowtie antenna. But reception with the provided telescope antenna is very limited. It is far weaker than the RCA on analog stations both at home and where I camp. Digital reception while camping was limited to just a couple of fringe stations that I don't watch.
I'm hoping that after the total Digital conversion next month, some of the stations will increase their signal output.
Otherwise I'm left with trying to get a better antenna to use with the Haier. Most of the problems seem to be with the limited range of digital broadcasts. But overall current portable usefulness is very limited.Get more detail about Haier HLT71 7-Inch Handheld LCD TV.
