I bought this TV for use in my kitchen which is cramped, and for emergenices during power outages and similar events. I was able to connect the video inputs to my Sony Digital8 video deck (which is about the same size as the Haier TV) and view my D8 tapes with flawless clarity. The picture "temp" as well as basic color functions operate very good, and allow you to tailor the color to your liking. The tuner of the Haier TV is very good. It has picked every local analog TV station for my area (Wash.DC), and 4 that are broadcasting a digital signal. If there is one caveat to this TV it's that the remote does not seem to be too responsive. It seems I have to point it in the Haier's "face" so to speak, to get it to respond. I think the issue may be the cheap-o batteries that came with it. Couple the product with Amazon's quick delivery and it was a bargain.
