We bought this TV for the hurricane season (in case the power goes out). We never got a chance to test it out on battery. Plugged into the AC, the TV picked up one channel and it was so grainy that it was useless. This is in the middle of Southeast Florida where there are plenty of over the air TV stations. Additionally, the menus on the TV consistently froze and the only way to clear it was to power down the TV and then turn it back on. Far too much hassle for a TV...a piece of technology that should just work.
